Rent A Bike Orange Avenue Review

When my sister visits her daughter, she rents a bike and just takes in a day and cruises Coronado Island. When I visited her, we had little Shamus in hand so we didn't get to rent any. So if you want to spend a wonderful day without using your vehicle, then rent a bike.

Glorietta Bay Marina

There several areas that you can enjoy the marina, but I think the one nearest to Hotel Del Coronado is lovely. Just being next to the water and seeing all the beautiful sailboats and yachets was tranquil, especially during the sunset hours. This one is part of the Coronado Yacht Club founded in 1913.

Oxford Hotel 1890 est. Hotel Del Coronado Review

This lovely victorian was built to house the Hotel Del of Coronado service personnel. It was going to be demolished in 1982, but it was saved and refurbished. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places. (added 1976 - Building - #76002310)

Graham Memorial Presbyterian Church 1890

This lovely victorian Church caught my eye while exploring a bit off of Orange Ave. I am assuming it is dated around 1890, but not been able to verify it or not. I will keep checking.

Ok, if you wonder to the hotel you need to wonder out to the beach area. This area boast of having one of nicest beaches and they are right. The have little cabana's for hotel guest only. Very clean and and not too crowded.

We revisited it around dusk. It was beautiful that night. Lots of people milling around and just enjoying the evening beautiful sunset.

Hotel Del Coronado Garden/Patio Hotel Del Coronado Review

Hotel Del Coronado rings with Victorian charm. So if you have the time wondered around. We did and discovered a beautiful garden/patio area. During my second visit, we brought my grand nephew Shamus here to let him blow off some steam. He was having a blast. One of the grounds keepers had a huge smile on his face while watching Shamus run around up and down the grassy area. I told him, "Another happy Del customer. He laughed!"

Coronado Public Library Orange Avenue Review

When I discovery I like to include them especially if you want to just sit, relax and read during your vacation. It is also a great place to bring your children to introduce them to the wonderful world of reading.

A neat fact:The collection of the library contains 146998 volumes. The library circulates 268790 items per year. The library serves a population of 26973 residents.

Museum of History and Art Orange Avenue Review

Museum of History and Art developed due to the thanks of the Coronado Historical Association since 1969. They have been collecting the history of Coronado either through artifacts, documents, and stories. They opened their doors in October of 2000.

They have three galleries and they do change from time to time.

Inside of the Hotel Del Coronado you can stroll though Hotel Del's past in the lower-level where there is a History Gallery, a mini-museum of hotel memorabilia. It is really fascinating!

Hotel Del Coronado Chandelier/Lobby Hotel Del Coronado Review

The architecture of a building always fascinates me especially if it is historical and the Hotel Del Coronado rings of the Victorian charm. So if you have the time and I had wished I had taken more, I would have wondered more around. We explored the lobby and to see this beautiful chandelier and all the lovely paneling. I can appreciate the adornment and craftsmanship during the Victorian period.
