~ Home of Vasquez Rocks State Park~

The first inhabitants of Aqua Dulce were the Shoshonean and Tataviam Indians. Then around the turn of century homesteads started popping up creating the first white settlements in this area for those looking for year around residency and those just looking to spend there summer vacations. Aqua Dulce is a hidden community among the mountain range tucked away just on the other side of Vasquez Rocks.

Vasquez rocks were created 25 millions ago when to great plates clashed creating the upward rock formations as with the sedimentary rock eroding from water, wind, and sun. Now it is used as 905 acres park with lots of wonderful trails, resources, and stark desert beauty. It was a great way to spend some precious family time.

Pros and Cons
  • Pros:Stark beauty!
  • Cons:Can have extreme weather conditions here, please check your weather info.

Looks lovely, but would be too scared to walk there and meet a rattle snake.

The rock formations are awesome! The snakes are real, but no real danger if folks stay on the trails. Thanks for stopping by!

The area around Vasquez Rock looks nice to take a walk in, but I wouldn't like meeting a rattle snake.

It’s rather scary that you have rattle snakes in your back yard. But as you say, leave them alone and they’ll leave you alone. I like your new member pic, by the way.

What an interesting page! I really love those Horse sculpture's and Bullwinkle's sign! I think the walk of fame is a lovely idea, it is a pity more town's haven't adopted it.
