The land rich in culture and history:-) California is where I was born and mostly raise at. It is where my grandparents migrated to, to find that piece of American pie. They found it and raised 14 fourteen children (12 survived to adulthood).
I know California is the butt of many jokes because of the state budget crisis and the fact that they have another movie star Governor. Yeah they call him the "Govenator", but you know what....I wouldn't want to pick a fight with him...would you?
People make fun of California the state of fruits and nuts, a very derogative term, fail to realize that many Californians are transplants from other states who have migrated here to experience employment, the sunshine, beaches, surfing, skiing, mountain parks such as Yosemite and Giant Redwoods, Hollywood, Disneyland, and the list can go on. I can relate to our symbol of the grizzly bear on our state flag. We Californians are like a bear who want to protect our territory, the lives of our families and our freedom with our very own life!

On the road to Bodie While traveling along Highway 108, you pass through the heart of the Sierra Nevada mountian range. I can't tell you how beautiful and peaceful it is. Had to stop off and spend the night in a very small town called Bridgeport on our way to visit Bodie. | | |
