Restaurant Name: Gabriel's

Gabriel's is not in Questa or near it; however, if you drive from Albuquerque to Questa don't miss it! It is located about 5 miles north of the Santa Fe Opera House on Hwy-285.

Favorite Dish: Start with the guacamole (made fresh at your table), feast on the carnitas and finish with the tres leches.

Restaurant Name: Bent Street Deli and Cafe

This is another restaurant that is not located in Questa but in Taos near the Plaza. I have only eaten there once. It was for dessert and coffee. They were both good but I would have to classify the service as slow and poor. It was maybe 20 minutes before they even took our order. It took three tries to get eating utensils and napkins, the last two being after the food arrived (which took a long time also). The Bent Street Deli and Cafe is in a great location and has nice covered patio dining. We were in no rush; however, if you have time limitations, then you better pick another restaurant. Maybe the thing to do is carry out.

Favorite Dish: All of their desserts were made on-site. The apple pie and key lime pie were good. They serve Taos Cow vanilla and chocolate ice cream which are excellent.
