"Pohang" Pohang by dwasserloos

Before i even arrived in Pohang i could smell the stench of indescribable fumes of nastiness. Then when you finally get their the first thing you see is big piles of metal (i think this must be the Mecca of scrap metal), and it doesn’t look like the place you want to visit... it looks like the place you would end up working for 5 pence per hour. When you finally arrive in the town center (town center being a few streets of 2 floor buildings that look like they haven’t been renovated since the Korean War) you are hounded by street vendors. When you try to negotiate with them, they get rather upset and become aggressive with you and try to fight. This leads you to drinking because their is not much else to do... after buying beer from the aggressive street vendors you resort to eating some sort of meat on a stick. They say it is chicken but i doubt that very much! That is all their is to do in Pohang.... You will love this place if all you want to do is wonder around aimlessly in a drunken state.
