"State Park with Logging History" Montesano by glabah

Montesano Travel Guide: 1 reviews and 5 photos

Once the timber gets cut down, many Pacific Northwest communities struggle to survive as the economy suddenly become much more difficult.

Montesano has been able to preservere due to its location along busy Highway 12, the tourist attraction of the coast, the continued smaller logging operations, and various small enterprises.

By far the largest attraction here is Lake Sylvia State Park, located approximately two miles north of Highway 12. However, there is also a small museum here, and a number of other small town attractions.
