This is Canada`s largest hotel with 1,590 rooms to choose from, it doesnt feel like its so large probably because its so tall and because with the exception of the front desk the public areas were rarely crowded, there are four entrances which we found confusing [we are easily confused] as a couple of times we found ouselves walking in the completely wrong direction having exited the wrong door
there are 5 restaurants ranging from the self service Market Garden to the up-market [and expensive] Bb33 Bistro and Brasserie. There are great facilities for all types of visitors from families to business travellers and we found the service was good but a little unfriendly

Our room was comfortable with a good view of the city and a coffee maker is supplied, and the toiletries were really nice

Unique Qualities: there is an adults only health club and swimming pool on the 27th floor with great view over the city, and a family fun pool with a 140 ft waterslide on the second floor, there is also a children`s games room and a creativity centre

the Business cente has a full range of facilities but closes rather early if you have put in a full days sightseeing [8pm during the week, 4 and 6pm Saturday and Sunday] there is complimentary tea and coffee

the hotel has a self service laundry and dry cleaning is available

Affectionately called the King Eddy by Toronto`s residents this is a beautiful and historic hotel, it was built in 1903 by George Gooderham and designed by E J Lennox, who was responsable for Casa Loma and extensively restored in 1979-1981 at a cost of $25,000,000
the public areas are lovely with lots of marble and a huge skylight in the lobby

the Restaurant is a complete contrast, very modern and with a selection of artwork on the walls, we ate breakfast here and it was excellent, there is a bar menu in the Consort bar, we liked the bar, it is very in keeping with the age of the hotel and the large windows overlooking the street are great for people watching, the staff were very friendly and welcoming

the hotel is convenient for the harbour, the Hockey Hall of Fame, the Flatiron Building and the St Lawrence market, and there are several nice bars and restaurants close by

Our room was very comfortable with views down to the lake, we would definately recommend this hotel

Unique Qualities: there is a fitness centre with whilpool and sauna, a spa and beauty parlour and a business centre
