NOT A LONG STAY.........

I have been to Jamaica three times but never stayed there

We flew in to board our cruise ship, came back to exchange some passengers a week later, cruised for another week then had almost a full day there at the end before flying home

I didnt mind, although it is a beautiful island it has never been high on my `must go to before I die` list, but I desperately wanted to visit the Dunns river falls

Best Beloved wasn`t very keen. After all he was still recovering from an accident a few months earlier when he had almost chopped his foot off (dont ask!) and he was worried that he wouldnt be able to climb them. However he knows that protest gets him nowhere so to the falls we went

It was fantastic, we both managed to climb them though there are steps along the side if the going gets tough and we both loved every minute, though losong my glasses was a bit of a blow....... I had taken them off at a particularly tricky bit and had put them down the fromt of my swimsuit. I really thought they would be safe down there after all we had been on a cruise for one week and after all the food the suit was rather tight (it had of course shrunk ahem ahem) but my poor glasses were swept away nontheless.

Do try the falls if you are ever in Jamaica its an amaking experience
