On Summer Sundays the people of Peterborough who arent spending the day at the car boot sale, or in the queue for parking at the DIY store, load up the kids, the dogs and Granny and set off for the seaside, usually to Hunstanton, or Sunny Hunny as it is commonly known

after a trundle along the A47 behind a 75 year old couple in a Ford Anglia [ with cushions on the back windowsill ] driving rakishly fast at 37 mph.........and an hour trying to get off the A47 at Kings Lynn...... its along the lovely road past Sandringham Estate to the North Norfolk hot spot that is Hunstanton

When my wife was living in Kings Lynn, I remember embarassing myself on a number of occasions by trying to pronounce Hunstanston as written, rather than the local 'Hunston'. Tricky name but a rather good fish and chip shop down the road from Woolies!
