Bayeux is a lovely old town with many interesting sights.
The cathederal is amazingly lovely and there is a wealth of old buildings. Guided tours are available from the tourist information centre and everything is within easy walking distance
Pros and Cons
- Pros:compact, interesting, picturesque
- Cons:can`t really think of any!
- In a nutshell:lots more to see than just the tapastry

I hope you love France as much as we do. Bayeaux looks well worth a visit. Good tips.
I want to see more waterwheels. They go round & round & round and make me dizzy....
Waterwheels are one of those Cool things in the world!! Like lighthouses, windmills and castles!!
I have to agree, it's a charming place!
Lovely. I've been close, often, but never to Bayeux. Will keep the Lion in mind. :-)
