WONDERFUL BEACHES

All the beaches on Grand Cayman are open to the public, even the ones in front of the fancy hotels
the sand is fine and white and the snorkelling is excellent

STINGRAY CITY

off the shore of Grand Caymen is a sandbank where stingrays gather, take a boat out and you can swim with them - its an unforgettable experience.

Contrary to what many people think they dont sting, their bodies feel like velvet when they brush against you.

They have little fear of us probably because so many people go there to swim and feed them but they dont seem tame and they arent caged, its just a bunch of people and fish swimming together in the warm Carribean. Try to go when the sea isnt too choppy, and dont forget to take an underwater camera

TURTLES

The turtle is the emblem of Grand Cayman, and also a part of the local diet.
Although we arent keen on the idea of turtles being used for food the visit to the turtle farm was very interesting, though saddening.

LITTLE WOODEN HOUSES

On our tour of Grand Catman we saw many little wooden houses, most were painted in pretty colours

we were told this is the oldest wooden house on the island
