We were looking for somewhere close to Calais so that we didnt have a long drive to catch the hovercraft, when we came to Wimweeux and got stuck in a traffic jam along the narrow main street, so we parked, found a hotel and had a lovely last evening in France

Wimereux is a charming quiet sea side town with gaily painted houses an beach huts lining the sea front. It is a real family place without roller coasters, discos and slot machines

The restraunt is in the hotel we stayed at, it is in its own courtyard and quiet and welcoming We had the fixed price... more travel advice

Hurrah!! A page for Wimereux. Nice beach, great food, and then you can load up with cheapie booze on the way home. Perfick.

I've done many 24 - 48 hour trips over this way and enjoyed the coastline. Have you been to Wissant? Four or five very good places to eat, and the cheapest one there is excellent!
