This is the southern-most point of the Phuket Island and is more popularly known as Sunset point. The view of the sea from the cape is lovely. It is very windy out here. During the evening hours, there is a heavy rush to view the sunset and it is very difficult to find a place to stand. Since this was monsoon time and there were clouds everywhere, we dropped the idea of waiting for the sunset.
There is also a Buddhist temple here

Phuket is famous mainly for beaches, island tours, nightlife and its people. There are numerous beaches in Phuket and it is difficult to rate them. Patong beach is the busiest of all because of its proximity to the most crowded part of the island. We visited the island during the rainy season-in the month of August and the sea was in in full vigour. This is Patong beach, right next to our
Royal Palm Beach Resort. Just cross the road and you are on the beach. The moment you arrive at the beach, you will be confronted by the beach boys who would like you to buy their services like jet skiing, parasailing, rental of beach umbrella and benches. We paid THB 100 for a pair of beach bunches. There is no time limit. You may laze out for the whole day, if you have time. Massage service, hair beeding facilities also available on the beaches

We passed by this beach, when we were going to PromThep cape from Patong Beach. This was a quieter beach but the waves were much bigger. I couod see a small island, off the beach and was wondering if it a place of tourist interest.

Directions: Of highway number 4233

This beach was even less crowded but the waves were much much bigger and dangerous. I did spot few guys doing Kayaking in such ferocious sea. This view we got from a view point along the road from Patong Beach to Surinn Beach and was excellant.

Another one of the quieter beaches. But again, the sea was very rough. There are a lot of huts/shacks along the beach serving local food, western food and beverages. The atmosphere was more relaxed here and not much people were bothering the tourists.

Address: Between Amanpuri Hotel and Phuket Fantasea
Directions: May be considered as a part of Kamala beach

While on our way to Promthep Cape from Patong Beach, we came along this beautiful viewpoint from where three prominent baches of Phuket was visible at a distance. The beaches were Karon, Kata Noi and Kata Beach. This view point is right on the road and there are couple of shops around here selling foodstuff and cold drinks. There is a raised platform, where one can go and sit for a while, with a beautiful view in fro\nt. It is quite windy here.

Directions: Watch out on the right hand side while going to Prom Thep Cape. There is a well marked spot. Wouldnt face any difficulty in locating it.

The crystal clear blue water of the Famous Maya Bay are a treat to our eyes. The water is so clean and transparent that the corals and the marine life is clearly visible from the boat.

Monkey Beach is so called because there are lot of monkeys hanging around here on this beach. They keep waiting for any boat to arrive. The moment any boat arrives, they start jumping with joy. They know that tourists have something to offer to them. This beach is located in Yong Kasem Bay which is a short distance from Loh Dalam Beach on Phi Phi Don Island.
The water is very clean here. Our tour Guide told us that there are good Snorkel sites just a few metres away from the beach
