Angkor Temple complex comprises of series of temples built between 8th anf 15th Century A.D, and located in and around Siem Reap province in the north west of Cambodia. The largest fresh water lake in South East Asia is locarted in this region, called Tonle Sap and probably was the reason for successive Khmer Kings establishing their Kingdoms here. The lake provided people with water and fishes all round the year and the land in the region was very fertile.
