More than a seaside resort

Marmaris has a reputation, certainly in the UK, of being a fun packed resort for young people but this is not the case.
There is a lot for young people to do but this small city is no Ibiza Town or Magaluf. Certainly cheap and nasty in parts and fully aimed at the UK holiday maker there is something for everyone here - unlike nearby Icmeler we actually saw tourists from outside the UK! Not many but a few.
There is an excellent castle, beautiful water front and marina and a reasonable shopping centre.
Also a good mix of local people and local culture - at least Marmaris has not yet fully become a UK colony town yet!

Pros:A large city with something for everyone
Cons:Aimed too much at UK visitors

looks like you still managed to find interesting things to do to enjoy your holiday away - Id like to go to Rhodes so that tips a good one thanks!...nightmare airports with nightmare staff drive us mad dont they!
