Getting TO/AROUND: We used the train on each of the occcasions we stayed in Bad Reichenhall. The trains are very efficient but looking at them rather old but well maintained and clean. There is a direct service to Salzburg to the north and Berchtesgaden to the south. There is a direct train in the morning to Hamburg that calls at many German cities en route.
The station is quite pleasant and there is a good coffee shop but it was unusual to see men drinking beer at 9.30 in the morning!
