San Francisco was the first place we stayed on our honeymoon.
We were advised to stay in Fisherman's Wharf, which I think was a bit of mistake. It must be one of the tackiest tourist traps I've come across in the US. I think the English equivalent would be Brighton sea front. Nothing of any interest, its only purpose is to milk the visitors who have yet to discover the real San Francisco
One of the best things was the food. Everything you can think of from take-away burritos in the Mission area to the finest Italian restaurants
We both had a brilliant time, we only wish we could have stayed longer.
