The Drunken Ship | The Drunken Ship by day, it opens around 5pm |
The Drunken Ship is an Anglo-American pub that lies in Rome's Centro Storico: Campo de' Fiori. If you're sick of all the Italians bugging you (on Piazza Navona or the Spanish Steps) the Drunken Ship is the best place to come! Bartenders speak fluid English and are always helpful and in a good mood. That's what makes the Drunken Ship such a special place! Music is mostly hip-hop, rap and r'n'b, there's a petite dancefloor, but when things have got started, you'll get going! The door to the toillet can be locked which is something rare in Rome's pubs... Prices are considerably normal, a small Heineken costs 3.50€ (2.50€ for students), a big Heineken 5€, long drinks 5.50€, cocktails 6.50€, frozen drinks 7.00€, bottled beers and drinks are between 4.50€ and 5.00€, a pitcher of Heineken 14€. There are Specials nearly every day during the Happy Hour (8pm-10pm), e.g. Sunday is Ladies Night, all cocktails and longdrinks half price. Everyday special for the summer 2003: special shot for 1€. |
| Smiles are always more approved of. |
Smile Being happy and showing it by smiling is very important for any traveler! A smile is always welcome. Being a guest in a country gives nobody the right to be intolerant or picky. You choose to go to a country, because you want to get to know something new. Then, why shouldn't you try to get closer to the people by smiling and showing the interest. So, SMILE!!! |
