Not having been to Paris before I have no benchmark by which to compare this hotel. So these are my personal impressions. it is listed as a 3 star hotel so I was expecting something fairly reasonable, but not in the Waldorf Astoria or Salish Lodge (both 5 star hotels we've stayed at in the U.S.A.). Well I was very pleased throughout my 13 days there.
Service was generally very good with particularly the men in la petite dejenuer (think I've messed up both gender & spelling there). They were friendly, polite & helpful. Speaking also of which, the buffet breafast was very good indeed. Fruit & yoghurt, choice of pastries, cereals, toast & jams and hot dishes made sure we all started the day well fuelled for a busy schedule.
Unique Qualities: The service was generally very good. One of our group was way overcharged on one of her credit cards at a cafe down the end of rue Cadet when all she & I had was a coffeee each & a dessert. The guy on the desk went back down with her and got it all sorted out.
The rooms weren't large, but were very comfortable with all mod cons and a mini bar which I tried to refrain from using. I would definitely consider staying there again as it was well located in terms of cafe/bistros, transport (as mentioned below) & shopping of all types, tastes & budgets.
