Naples, with its different faces, the subtropical climate, still working to bridge the world of family-based traditional Italy with the modern materialist way of life. It is not the race for efficiency and profits that the Italians in the south seem to be striving for most, as the best (and sometimes also the worst) in life has has always come by itself, without daily worrying that seems to be accompanying daily lifes of people in the overly "developped" world.
Napoli, the city of western traditions, family, arts, scenic nature, chaos, filth, color, crime, food, love, music, science, sea and sun....and more.
But then, Napoli is Italy's third-largest city, and as such no more nor less hazardous than other European cities of simjilar size. This is to be said to refute warnings that are no longer appropriate.
