I was very fortunate to have flown into Milford Sound abroad a chartered flight on a clear and bright afternoon. I took this aerial shot while the plane was circling to land at the little airport in Milford. When my plane flew into Milford, my immediate expression was that whatever money I spent for the flight was very well rewarded. No doubt travelling on road will have its own sights and sounds but I sure without a doubt that the best way to enjoy Milford is to fly-by by air and soak in all its pristine beauty all at once. It was also at that moment that I finally understood why New Zealand was called Aotearoa. |

| | Picnic With Nature Be sure to pre-order a light lunch or bring your own picnic basket when cruising Milford Sound on the Sovereign. Sit down by the window and slowly take in the sights and beauty while you slowly enjoy your food. Ask yourself this question: When was the last time when you can just eat lunch, have a great view without a single care in the world. Trust me for the full 2hrs of the cruise, it will solely be your personal time. No mobile reception in Milford. |
Milford Sound Beauty at its best. Virtually undisturbed. Great works of the glaciers. I will let the picture speak for itself. | | |
