PK's: Start the night off...

Its always nice to start out a night of partying in Blacksburg at PK's, a good place for a few drinks anmd some food.. a very popular hang out spot from about 8-10PM as VA Tech gets the party started

This is one of my Blacksburg favorites. Guys, a great place for meeting cute girls, always a good in-semester crowd with great drinks and food! Be sure to try the drink called " The Rail"

Main Street, Downtown blacksburg: Hokie Party!

Some of the wildest parties I have seen in Blacksburg have actually been held by the football fans in the center of Main Street downtown. After big college footballe wins especially the night games, when the bars close the fans pour into the streets to celebrate. I was there for the BC win in 99, the LSU and Mia wins of late, and I'll telll you it has been very fun, almost like Mardi Gras, just Hokie style!

Dress Code: Hokie colors!

Sharkey's: A VA Tech favorite

Now, this actual building has went through some changes, and myself, having spent time at Virginia Tech in the mid 90's, remembers the old spots here called Arnolds, then Prestons, and then Woody's, but now sharkys, also a longtime Blacksburg spot that was next door, moved into here in 2005. Sharkey's has a decent menu, full of wings , ribs, burgers and creative sandwiches, as well as a full bar. This place is a regular hangout for students and visitors alike. The only thing it is missing, what the places before it had, is a nice dance floor and event venue. I dare you to take the Sharkey's 9-1-1 wing Challenge if you like hot wings!

Dress Code: Dress casual. No one here will ever be caught in a 3-piece suit.. its a college town!

Hokie House: Lets go to the House...

A personal favorite of mine, Hokie House has a downstairs dining area which serves a decent burgers and fries menu as well as some very good drinks, the upstairs ahs pool tables and air hockey, its a great place to stop on your way to the game or after the game.... when you walk upsatirs there are names of some of the favorite cocktails served at Hokie House, I have the proud distinction of having drank every one of them.... all in the same night! ( don't remember much of that night, needless to say!)
