  • During late summer 2006 I spent a long weekend in the "new" Spa Tower in the Bellaio. I know it is a bit of a trek compared to the original main Bellagio tower, as you have to walk back a bit from the lobby, but I'll tell you- the rooms are so much better in the spa tower, and for the same price!

Unique Qualities: I loved the green marble tile accents that the main tower doesn''t have... altogether a much more up-to-date decor!

  • This place was the newest, nicest hotel yet in Vegas, so, a stay was a must.. because it is new and so expensive players can get discounts, so without that it would cost quite a bit to stay here.. but it is very nice and the rooms are immaculate, they have this Andy Warhol replications in each room. The shopping here is not as extravagent as Bellagio or Caesars, but then again this place hasn't been finished yet as they are building another half on an adjacent lot. Very nice, but to stay here more than 3 days, you'd better be a high roller.

Unique Qualities: I loved the panel screens in the bathroom, I mean, if a buffet gets you down in the "dumps", you won't miss the end of the game! Also free Ipods and panel TV's if you're relaxing at the Cabana, and the pool here is like a showcase of young models... better than some sexy Vegas shows! The 18 hole ON SITE golf course was also great to have, as well as the Maserati/Ferrari showcase, and the amazing waterfalls everywhere, this place was definately all that and more, its just waay to expensive for the average income.... it is a suite only hotel and if you don't have players comp or corporate discount, or stay on a 199 a night Monday or Tuesday, these suites will cost you at least 500 a night.

  • I did not stay in this resort, but did visit with new friends who did... I found this one of my favorite places to dine and shop as well. The service here was immaculate, as was the shopping and dining, and even the little gondola rides weren't all as cheesy as you would think, as most of the couples I saw riding through were newlyweds. The art here is fabulous, the Italian decor on the ceilings was fabulous, and I thought this place had awesome nightlife compared with some other hotels. I'd rank this place as one of the top 5, if not top 3, hotels in Vegas.

Unique Qualities: I loved the artwork on the ceilings, I am also a big fan of Italian cuisine, so that fit me well. The shopping was up to par with Caesars as was the nightlife, I particularly enjoyed Tao and V clubs. Stay here and you definately will have alot of fun at your fingertips.

  • The Bellagio is a well designed example of what spoils the rich enjoy. The shopping here is unequaled, not in variety, but in taste. The casino is very spread out, much like Caesars, but offers more cheap (15 minimum) blackjack tables than you would think for such an exquisite Vegas hotel. The buffet here is to die for, as is Club Prive and Cafe Bellagio, and the overall atmosphere is very posh and well designed.

Unique Qualities: Besides being one of the best-designed hotel in America, with some of the most extravagent shops, you have to recogize the number one unique attraction at the Bellagio: The Fountains.

  • I would call Caesars Palace the "heartbeat" of the Vegas strip for many reasons. The Forum here provides some of the best shopping in Vegas, the casino, clubs, and restaurants are amazing and always popular with locals and tourists alike, the rooms are spacious and the views are astounding. I believe you could walk a mile in here without going outdoors, and the nice connection to Bellagio keeps you from having to cross the street when casino jumping. The decor has been done with some taste as well, I did not find anything about this place "cheesy" as I did in some of the other "Disneylike" hotels. It is located in the center of the strips action, unlike some others, such as beautiful Mandalay Bay, where I had to taxi it out of just to hit the action elsewhere.

Unique Qualities: Caesars is unique in that it always has something to do, and an A list crowd is always not to far away. The restaurants in here are magnificant, I would recommened Neros Steakhouse to anyone.. just an amazing, amazing place to stay, and if you do stay here try to get a room with a view of neighboring Bellagios fountains... makes for quite a night even when staying in the room!

  • I really enjoyed the time I spent at Mandalay Bay. This place is, in my opinion, one of the top Casino Resorts in Las Vegas. Though a bit open, I loved the casino in here, as well as the overall layout and decoration. The shows here are top notch, as well as the dining, and the nightlife is very nice... the Rum Junglewas very fun. I'd recommend this spot to anyone coming to Vegas, and the only drawback, although a large one, is its location... it is on the extreme southern tip of the Las Vegas strip, so you'll have to walk quite a distance, even to the monorail.

Unique Qualities: The Mamma Mia! show was very nice, and what other hotel here has a House of Blues inside?

  • I did not stay here in terms of sleep, but spent many a night here partying.. I made Kahunaville my little hidden Vegas drinking getaway, and Tangerine was not too shabby as well, this club has very sexy performances from little Orange-clad vixens. The drink girls here were my favorites out of all the hotels, and the little pirate show, though cheesy, was not that bad after a few bourbons. The hotel itself is I think an extension of the Mirage, very nice with very good prices on rooms through the week and into the weekends. I'd recommend sleeping here as well, though I can't tell from personal experience.

Unique Qualities: Orange, orange, everywhere! If you're a fan of the color orange then you might just have an overload just walking through the lobby!

  • Another place I spent a large amount of time at but did not actually have a room at.. Vegas veterans know what I'm talking about! This place has very affordable food, some of the best value in Vegas.... also, I liked walking down into the casino, it just feels like a pit and I like walking down into the action like that... the miniature New York statues and buildings were also nice and not too cheesy, and the shows they have here are nice as well, the Showgirls inparticular. For the kids they have a roller coaster hovering above the city, as well as Coyote Ugly and ESPN Zone for the guys...

Unique Qualities: If you've never been to New York, please don't think you have after you've stayed here.... Yes, this is a very unique place, but you have to stand on the street in the Big Apple and soak in the atmosphere to truly experince NYC as this is only a Disney-like replica of the real thing.

  • I spent an entire day at Rio and thoroughly enjoyed this spot. The buffet was the best, hands down, in Vegas, and I mean even better than the Bellagio buffet. The free "Masquerade in the Sky" show was nice, though a bit overdone with all of the hanging floats and jesters, but, all in all enjoyable. The shops here were nice, and with the World Series of Poker going on a very busy spot. The girls here were fabulous, not the drink girls, but just the waitresses in general, guys, you have to check out the refereee-clad cuties working at IBar, not to m,ention the cuties at Bikinis. Voodoo Lounge was very nice as well. i would recommend this suite-only hotel to anyone, and as a bonus the strip is not too far away as there are free shuttles to Harrahs on the strip.

Unique Qualities: This place is like Mardis Gras every hour... beads everywhere. But, seriously, the baby lobster tails in the buffet, mmm, with butter, mmmmmmmmmmm

  • The Mirage, orginally built and designed by Steve Wynn, is the one that set standard for hotel resorts in Las Vegas. Located acorss from the Venetian near the center of the strip, this place has something for everyone, the inner jungle design, the Sigfried and Roy White Tiger habitat, the Volcano activity outside, all of this and a fabulous casino to boot! the rooms are not asd outrageously priced as you would think, either.

Unique Qualities: Some call it cheesy, but I actually liked the volcano... and the Tigers were a nice touch, though they hardly ever came out of their little hiding spots. The Danny Gans show I have heard is one of the best, if not the best, in Vegas.
