Sin City USA | Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas, Nevada |
I first visited Vegas in 2005, and since each trip has been so valuable to me. Not in ways of gambling, but in ways of shows, sights, and sounds. Staying at different hotels helped me gain appreciation for everything on the strip, I loved the energy of this town where time has no meaning and sleep is for the weak of heart. If you experience any trace of pleasure in self-indulgence, then this is a must visit spot for you. Las Vegas, in a nutshell, represents both the legacy and the decadence of America, as it is the entertainment and resort capital of the US to some, and to others is it a brighter , meaner Disney World strewn with gambling addicts and prostitutes. One thing I definately know about Las Vegas: its heart does not truly start to beat until the sun dissappears over the mountains in the west. This place is heaven for those who thrive on the night! My first week here was very fun, so fun that I had to grab the camera later in the week to take pictures of what I had done and where I had been. I haven't been posting many tips on here in recent visits because I don't think people look at them- I've put a ton of weork on my Vegas page and am ranked sooooo low on the Vegas page list, I'm actually thinking of ceasing all VT activity because you just don't get alot of feedback on here. |
| | The Lights and Sights There are two types of Las Vegas vacations, both are self-indulgent, and both will cost a pretty penny. The first Vegas vacation is the family oreinted vacation, filled with roller-coaster rides, the oooohs and ahhhhs of adults and children alike. The buffets, the shows, the exhibits, the occasional trip to the craps table for dad and the nightly spa visit for mom all while the kids get lost at Circus Circus... thats what Vegas has to offer on vacation #1. Nothing more than an escape from the norm, but an entertaining escape at that. |
No Rest for the Wicked The other type of Vegas vacation is what makes this sin city. The overpriced drinks, the all night dancing, the "What happens in Vegas Stays in Vegas", thats just the tip of the iceberg. The town of lost wages has sucked so many savings account dry, develop habits of losing to win, and believe me, much more lose than win; this town was not built on winners. The prostitution, the gambling, the promiscuity, the quick buck and the long ride home make this one of the most unique and tempting cities in America.. so, its your choice, do you go for the food and the shows, or do you give in to temptation? | | |

| Pros: | "Enequaled energy, always something to do, 24/7 fun, great collection of sexy people and cultures" | | Cons: | "Uncomfortably expensive to do it right (gambling+drinking+shows+suite) , also an extension of "Plastic America"" | | In A Nutshell: | "The City that Never Sleeps is no longer New York" |
