Our VIP table was a little wasted lol
This club used to be a favorite of mine when it was called Level a few years ago... it has a very spacious dance floor and many levels of VIP entrance.... the best nights to go here do change, but I recently went on a Friday and had a great time. REgular admission is $25 as of July 07. The VIP bottle service tables start at $400, and that was for 2 bottles... the club has a lower level dance floor with 2 bars, a mid level table seating area with a bar in the rear, and then upper levels with other VIP tables and a bit of privacy. The energy here is amazing and they always spinning a great mix of techno and hip-hop, and tons of ladies around to dance with! TIPS for those who are new to this place:
1- If you don't reserve VIP, and don't bring a gorgeous date(s), don't expect to get in. I see alot of bitter reviews about not having fun here- but what did these people expect? Underdressed guys on a budget will not have fun here! Matt Damon, LeBron James, Terrell Owens- these have been my table neighbors at Mansion. This is not a place just anyone would expect to get into. If you are an attractive female then you will see the door quicker than any handsome gentleman.
2- Hugo. The infamous Mansion bouncer (I've also seen him at Opium). If you want to get into Mansion Miami without a reservation, Hugo is your best friend or worst enemy, you make the call.
Dress Code: Dress the part, look the part, act the part.

Playwright Irish Pub
The Playwright Irish Pub is a great place for someone to visit who is from up North and doesn't exactly want to dress to impress- but wants to enjoy a few beers, and yet still be around some of the beautiful South Beach singles. I had been here many times and enjoyed the Cider they call Strongbow- its a must if you visit this Pub.
Dress Code: Irish Pub-esque, no need for designer Italian here!
Address: 1265 Washington Ave., Miami Beach, FL 33139
Directions: Look under Crunch gym :)

Crobar daytime
Went there a few times, I've got mixed reviews on this place. One time a few celebrities were in the house, that was fun, but the other times, me being a bachelor, there was a serious lack of single females for my friends and I. This place does have theme nights of sorts (gay), the night I did enjoy was on a Thursday. This place was called CroBar for years and they've changed the name back to match the original marquee above the entrance.
Dress Code: On the good nights they'll pick you out from beyond the rope unless you have a reservation or are on the list. Please don't let the drag queen scare you. (s)He is very nice and will be the most likely to let single straight men in the club
Address: I think 14th and Washington

Club Deep
Club Deep is one a my favorite places to go if I just don't feel like dressing to impress. This place plays hip-hop and caters to the crowd that solely listens to that, and has a very unique decor with aqua walls and even a fish-filled aquarium to dance on. The VIP is not nearly as plush as your Opium or even Crobar, but all things considered this is a nice place to get your groove-on.
Dress Code: The dress code here is more relaxed than other spots, and, the crowd is not as haughty and rich as the rest of South Beach. Just a great place to get drunk and have genuine fun, not the place to see celebs or anything like that.
Address: between 5th and 6th on Washington.

Fat Tuesday
Not really a night club at all, but a nice spot to party at. One thing I love about South Beach and Ocean Drive is the variety of music you will here as you pass by different restaurants and stores, Fat Tuesdays seems to always have the best hip-hop beats playing when I've been there. I can't really recommend any drinks from here but I know the beats are good and so is the atmosphere, if you're into that.
Dress Code: Dress how you want. You'll probably be seeing some jerseys or whatnot here.
Address: I think the 8th or 9th block on Ocean

Wet Willies
This isn't exactly a nightspot because its good to chill out in the afternoons as well, but Wet Willies has become a traditional starting point for me in a night of drinking. I've only eaten appetizers there, so I can't really comment on the food, but the frozen drinks are sooo good. My favorite is Call a Cab, and only drink one if you're going to drink elsewhere, they are strong. Also try mixing the drinks, I get the Shock Treatment mixed with Call a Cab sometimes if I'm mixing.
Dress Code: Wear whatever you want at this spot. Beware, on some nights I've seen them try to charge cover, when they usually do not.
Address: I think 8th and Ocean

Opium before the crowd
I loved Opium Garden from the moment I stepped inside. Friday night is the best night I've been here, at least as far as the energy. You walk into an open sky with a japanese themed decor. The dance floor is on your left with plush couches and the bar is on your right, with the latest techno trance beats and trendy SouthBeachians pouring bottles of their favorite poisons. Go up the stairs on your right into the VIP area, or go straight past the techno dance floor to the upper bar to dance to some of the hottest hip-hop beats. DO NOT wander up the stairs behind the techno floor, that is the DJ's perch, and yes, I did that, my drunk ass sat there 10 minutes before I realized I was in the DJ booth.

Address: The 1st block off of Collins on your right

Chillin at Nikki Beach
Sunday afternoons and evenings at Nikki Beach are very enjoyable. The first time I was there the Teepees freaked me out, but this place is a really nice, laid back spot to enjoy yoourself. I loved the sushi (Salmon was awesome) and the girls here are A+ for great conversation, and last time there were a few football players here enjoying the same atmosphere I was.
Dress Code: Dress SoBe casual, be the trend and you'll fit in.
Address: 1 Ocean? I think
Directions: Go South on Ocean until it ends, Nikkis is on your left (ocean side)
