I love the Saddle Ranch for 2 things:

1- The food is awesome. Try the Chili Kettle and tell me I'm wrong!
2- The atmosphere is amazing on a weekend here. Starting at the Saddle Ranch many times deas to ending at the Saddle Ranch! Be sure to watch the girls give the mechanical bull a ride! Fun times!

Put this one in your restaurant/nightlife tip ;)

Geisha House - Hollywood

Geisha House

Geisha House: Sushi Scene P2

If you're near the theaters in Hollywood and are digging the sushi Scene: 2 Spots for you Katsuya and Geisha House. Geisha House has great food and is a bit more intimate than Katsuya, where Katsuya has an amazing design, it is a bit cold and ultra-modern. Geisha House is warm, friendly, and much better for a date, or at least thats my opinion. Because we ultimately come here for food, both are great, and Geisha is very good on all ends of the menu. Be sure to stop in and check it out, but, like all of Hollywood, please make a reservation. Sorry I don't have any photos of this spot :(

Favorite Dish: The rolls were fantastic, and this sake blend they made was awesome as well.

Koji's in Hollywood - Hollywood

Koji's in Hollywood

Koji's Sushi and Shabu Shabu: Koji's is my spot! Koji's Sushi - CLOSED Review

Koji's, located on the upper floor of the Hollywood and Highland Center, is a great spot to eat and drink before going out to a Hollywood nightclub. This hotspot features a great menu that your waiter will take you through, as I had no idea what shabu shabu meant. Great drinks and location, be sure to stop in!

Favorite Dish: Crunchy Shrimp and Rainbow Rolls baby!!! The shabu meal is good , too, with the delicious dipping sauces. I recommend the "Around the World" Meal- love the sauces and making it all my own!

Hard Rock Cafe Universal: Another Hard Rock Hard Rock Cafe Review

My thought is that if you've been to one, you've been to them all, but if you're a Hard Rock fan, there is a Hard Rock on Universal CityWalk in Hollywood. Hard Rock has a dependable menu and a great gift shoppe, so, if ya want- check it out!

Katsuya - Hollywood

Katsuya

Katsuya: The Sushi Scene

I first thought Katsuya to be a pure nightspot when I passed by a few months before actually dining there. The line was that long! Little did I know this hotspot is a mecca for Hollywoods elite, with an amazing decor and outstanding dish presentation. The design is so crisp and abstract at the same time, eating under a pair of big lips was never so pleasant! The food and cocktails here are amazing, I'd definately recommend eating here when in town. You'll absolutely want to make reservations for this one, and bring your Visa- this place was pricey. And, I walked there as I was staying down the street, but it looked like several people were pissed with the valet at the door- just something to think about.

Favorite Dish: You HAVE to try a Burning Mandarin for a drink and I liked the Crab Roll the best

The Griddle Cafe - Hollywood

The Griddle Cafe

The Griddle Cafe: The Best Breakfast on Sunset

The weak of heart should not visit Griddle Cafe. It is for those strong souls who were dying for something to eat in the waning hours of the drunken night gone by, and wake up with the hunger of the Greek army. The portions at Griddle are MASSIVE. I had the Eyes Wide Open stack, and I do mean stack, of pancakes that were mixed in with espresso beans and all the goodies. While it was ever-so-yummy, I could only finish 1/2. If your'e in the area, definately pass on the late night snack and go here. One warning, if you wander in after 9:30, there will be a line, and, don't be suprised if celebs are in here as well. They know the deal;)

Favorite Dish: Everything looks good, but wow how much can you eat??

Clafoutis - Hollywood

Clafoutis

Clafoutis: The Table and the Scene

Clafoutis is a cool little French Bistro spot in Sunset Plaza with some good eats and some great people watching. The menu is French-American, good appetizers and great drinks, a great place to stop in for dinner on your way out to party on the Strip. Like many restaurants in the area, don't be suprised if the paparazzi are out front. It seems everytime I'm here one of the tabloids darlings are here, most recently Britney Spears came in and the place went stupid. I still got my food on time though, I guess they are used to that here! I recommend eating on the patio on a nice day- it just makes for a great atmosphere! The prices aren't bad here either.

Favorite Dish: The house salad was off the chain and the Bistro selections are good as well. Not over the top good, but a great starter for a night of drinking!

Address: 8630 W Sunset Blvd, West Hollywood, CA 90069

Comparison: less expensive than average

Elsa laughing during our lunch at CPK in H-Wood - Hollywood

Elsa laughing during our lunch at CPK in H-Wood

California Pizza Kitchen: California Pizza

California Pizza Kitchen is located on the lower level of the Hollywood and Highland Center, in the rear, near where tourists are taking photos of the Hollywood sign in the distance. The Pizza Kitchen is a national chain and has a bit more than pizza on the menu, though the pizza is very good as well, just a bit overpriced (they try to make this into a fine dining experience lol). If you're on Hollywood Boulevard and want a chain menu, then stop in and check it out! Its very good food, just don't expect local pizza parlor pricing.

Favorite Dish: I actually like the spinach dip appetizer here. And the avocado rolls. The tomato and basil pizzas are good too.
