Lahore is Lahore

The natives like to call their city in Urdu language "Lahore Lahore Hai", meaning Lahore is Lahore. What they mean by this phrase is that there is no other city as Lahore, and i agree. Lahore is called the heart of the Punjab Province. This is a city that shows staggering contrast between the old and new Lahore - the old city depicting hundreds of years old architecture while the new areas show themselves off in a modern way. For anyone who hasn't visited this city, I would suggest that its a must see - do include it in your travel plans for the future!

Lahore is known for her beautiful architecture, specially for the gardens, mosques and the fort contructed hundreds of years back by mughal emperors

The people of Lahore are called in Urdu "Zinda Dilan-e-Lahore" which means that the hearts of Lahorites are living. People of this region are known to be hospitable and are always on a lookout to participate in social activities and entertainment.

Pros and Cons

Pros:Lots of places to visit, friendly people, mixture of old and new architecture, regional festivals
Cons:rash traffic, hot and humid in summer
In a nutshell:as the locals call it "if you havn't seen lahore, you've seen nothing"
