Eisriesenwelt is definately worth a visit. But as you said, wear gloves!
Although keep in mind that the caves are not in Salzburg itself, but in Werfen.
Great information on the ice caves! I'm in that region this summer and hope I'll dare to visit the cave - I'm so scared of heights and hate cable cars!
