"Kattinge" Kattinge by Agersted

My home town is nothing but 42 homes, still its history dates back to the earliest written sources, and since it is a wonderful spot close to the fjord, probably even as far as to the first settlements in the area, thousands of years before the Vikings became the famous rulers.
Through the years, life changed only slowly and the old traditional town and its relatively unspoiled environments still reflect one of the major changes in Danish rural communities that occurred in the 19th century, when half of the farms moved from the closed, safe community around the town pond out on the open fields to make the farm production more efficient.
Today, Kattinge offers a quiet, clean environment and an inspiring community enjoyed by all ages.
