I had the luck of spending 6 of the most wonderful months of my life in this great country.... I have always dreamed of it since I was a child and had discovered a really funny looking bottle of wine in our cellar on which I saw the name "Chile". I asked my parents what or where that funny name belongs to and they told me of a country on the other side of the world in South America. Since that moment I wanted to go there and finally in my studies this dream fullfilled as I chose to do my 6 months work stay down there at BASF Chile. I had the time of my life, discovering this completely different culture and beautiful country. I shared a flat with 4 crazy Chileans in Santiago but also did various weekend trips and a 2 weeks discovery trip to the North at the end of my stay. Coming back to Germany, my parents had a great surprise for me: All my friends from Bremen were invited for the "Welcome Back Dinner" and on the table stood - you guess it - a funny shaped bottle: "Vina Undurraga" from 1979! It was still good and I think a little tear got lost in my eye drinking the life blood of my dream and thinking back of the fantastic time in my beloved Chile...
