A rainy day in Grischun

The notorious problem with the VT database made it necessary to name this page after one of the villages in the Lower Engadin, The Engadin (with places like St. Moritz), one of the most important touristic regions of Switzerland if not even Europe does not exist in the VT database (as there is no Wachau etc.), but the Silvretta, a mountain group of the Eastern Central Alps bordering the Lower Engadin at the left banks of the river En (Inn) exists in the VT database (but in Austria, which is justified becasue the larger part of this group is in Austria).

Guarda is one of the most picturesque villages int he Lowwer Engadin, high above the ground of the valley.

Pros and Cons

Pros:Magmificent settting, only moderately touched by tourism
In a nutshell:Absolutely worth the detour when going along the Engadin

Im Engadin war ich letzten Sommer auch zum 1. mal und werde ganz sich wieder mal hinfahren !
