Last weekend was exceptional for this summer - it had good weather. So I got a chance for a spontaneous two days trip over two of the most exciting passes in the Eastern Alps - Stilfser Joch (Stelvio) and Passo Gavia. Stilfser Joch is extremely popular among drivers, bikers and cyclists while Gavia, which is more difficult to reach still remains for the real enthusiasts of extreme Alpine roads. Both are in the Nationalpark Stilfser Joch -Parco Nazionale dello Stelvio stretching over the provinces South Tirol (Alto Adige), Sondrio and Brescia.
