At 60EURO for a double room in 4* star hotel, Kavalier is hard to beat. If you are prepared for some minor inconvenience then you might want to give it a try. I stayed there for 3 nights in mid July.

Unique Qualities: Catch 1:
Not central, but not that inconvenient also. If you don't mind going back to Vienna's Westbahnhof and taking tram 52 for a short 10 minutes ride, that is. I personally don't believe in paying top dollars to stay somewhere central, so...
Catch 2:
The quality of the room is a little dubious, but it could just be me. The cold/hot water is a little inconsistent, and the room is a little smallish, with 2 singles conjoined as double bed.
Catch 3:
There's a small bahnhof behind it, so it can get a little noisy, but not a problem with tv on.
