Salsa anyone? That is the hippest dance that is in Tokyo right now. In this club, you'll see almost everyone spontaneously dancing in pairs. I must admit, once you enter the club, you'll eventually start dancing to the beat. Rem'ber it is not any hip-hop disco music but Latin Spanish rhythm.

    Dress Code: For Senorita
Of course if you have the intention to Salsa, do wear a solid bright colored dress with flare ends. This way, you'll definitely look hot when you twirl and swirl.

    For Senor
Just wear a flamboyant shirt with big collars and maybe alittle tight fitting. You'll look great with the babes.

    Drinking Out: A Gaijin Bar

If you are looking for a Gaijin (Western expats) bar, here is the place. It was one of the ist few bars with foreigners clienteles. Many view this place alittle sleezy being perceived as a pick up place.

If you come across a table of Japanese ladies sitting by themselves with a glass of cocktails staring into blank space, they are most likely to be your target. Why? Think about it, if they were just there for drinks, they would have chat among themselves and not focus into the crowd. Obviously those ladies have finished their chat long ago and waiting for their chance now.

    Shibuya (Hibiya Line, Ooedo Line)

Take the Roppongi exit from the subway station and head towards the direction of Tokyo Tower along Gaienhigashi St. It should take you about 5mins to get there. Look out for the black and red signage.

Drinking Out: Yet another Gaijin Bar

  • Nightlife Spot: Motown House 2

Yes I know what you are thinking of. Can they be more original than having a similar name and naming it the 2nd?

This is the sister bar of Motown House 1. Its probably opened to cater to the huge influx of foreigners. I personally prefer Motown 2 to 1 as the decor is classier and air is fresher. Nice collection of music mainly spinning the 60s and black music. You can even make a dedication.

Night Out in Roppongi: The Red Thunder in the East
  • Tip Rating: [Not enough ratings yet]
  • Nightlife Spot: Geronimo! Shot Bar

Geronimo is a native American and Wild West themed bar - being one of the most popular and well known bar in Roppongi. Of all the bars, this is my favourite.

This is an amazingly small bar with so many people being sandwiched but its great fun.

There is no cover charge to enter.
4 interesting things to note about this bar:

    1. There is a small native American drum that hangs above the bar. If you hit the drum, you are supposed to buy everyone in the bar a drink.

    2. Shot Hall of Fame! Drink 15 different shots in 1 shot and you win yourself a free T-shirt.

    3. Being Chief of the month. A monthly running total of how many drinks you buy each month from banging the drum. In this instance, you will win yourself a special plaque of your name in the bar.

    4. No one enters the shot bar wearing a tie. If you are caught wearing a tie, it'll be snipped off straight away and stapled to the ceiling of the bar.

You can hardly find any Japanese in this bar.
