Mexico has it all.

Sunset in Punta Cometa, Mazunte, Oaxaca Coast
If there is one country I have travelled that has really warmed my heart, it is Mexico. I am not talking Cancún or Playa del Carmen, nor "TJ" - but the "true" Mexico. The mix of exciting landscapes, bustling cities, sleepy one horse towns, historical sites of precolumbian and colonial times, traditional crafts, colorful tackiness, friendly people, witches, hospitality, simplicity, refinement, "fresas" (young snobs) and "nacos" (simple people), and last but not least: unique foods is simply amazing. Go there. NOW!

Ciudad de Mexico

Enjoy the colours.
Dia de los Reyes (Magos) (January 6) is a very big day for kids: u get presents (almost as on Christmas itself), eat special cakes (Rosca de Reyes) in which little dolls are hidden (the kid who gets a piece with a doll has to fulfill a small wager though - which does not seem to deter them from enjoying the cake...), and like with Santa in US department stores, u get to talk to the "real" Three Kings in private and your picture taken. Of course, around Alameda Central (the main park in the historical center) alone, there are at least 20 Trios of Reyes to choose from.

Pros:"Abundance of cultural and natural sights, not over-touristed, great weather when it is ***ty back home, fun food, shy warmth of the locals"
Cons:"Topes (speed bumps on country roads): they're everywhere and they suck!!!"
In A Nutshell:"Andale!!!"
