PDC To visit some parts of the Timanfaya National Park, you need to book an organisd trip rather than use your own car. The "North" and "South" trips are well worth a look with the North taking-in Jameos Del Agua, Cesar Manriques' house and the lava tunnels - and the South taking-in "Fire Mountain", El Golfo and the obligatory camel-ride! We stayed in Puerto Del Carmen - but were impressed with how clean the whole island was. No litter or graffiti etc and such a lovely pace of life. Going back in June when the weather will be hotter and the crowds bigger! |
Beathtaking scenery - eerie landscapes Timanfaya National Park - some of the South views are only from a coach window but you get the feel of the vast swathes of lave and the power behind such upheavals to the landscape. |
