My favourite walk - Notre Dame to Champs Elysees We always stay in the Latin Quarter because it is so lively and vibrant especially when walking-back to our hotel at night after dinner or a long stroll. Also, it's on a direct RER line from CDG airport so no messing-about with suitcases on the Metro etc! We always do our favourite walk starting at Notre Dame - and finishing-up somewhere near the Champs Elysees or the Eiffel Tower. |
| | The Stravinsky Fountain Great stop-off if you have kids with you who are maybe getting tired of being dragged-around old buildings! There are plenty of restaurants and shops around this area too if you need a break. |
| | Onwards through Les Halles gardens Rather a disappointing shopping centre inside I feel - but the buildings are quite interesting and the gardens are a peaceful change from the crowds at Notre Dame etc. On from here through the Louvre, Tulleries Gardens and past the Place de La Concorde to the Champs Elysees. |

They have commissioned an architect named David Mangin to upgrade the complex, but he's having a tough time resolving the conflicting interests of everyone involved. |
