This poor excuse of a traveler had just left her brother's awesome digital cameral at home and went on her very first Florida trip armed with nothing but those overpriced 35mm "throwaways"! I'm sure there MUST be some positive aspects in using a non-digital, non-zooming, non-flash defusing, film type camera...I'm thinking...I'm thinking...

WHAT WAS I THINKING???

So here I am typing up this page without a single picture in sight.

WHY?

Because the pictures are in the process of being developed...DEVELOPED!

Despite the fact that I only wanted my pictures on disk...Wal-Mart requires me to purchase a single set along with my disk. What's the point in that?!

SIGH!

I shouldn't blame Wal-Mart for my laziness. I could have turned around and retrieved the camera. But...OHHHH NOOOO...I just HAD to leave without it!

If there is any moral to my incoherent ramblings at all...it is to say....

Let me tell you about my trip...

I was headed to Ft Myers because I had to work a booth in the Lee County Medival Faire.

This trip...I knew...was going to be stressful and bliss all at once. This was going to be the first time I was going to run the show solo and it was also going to be the first time I had to leave my daughter behind.

Reflecting on it now, after many months, I had wished that I did bring my daughter. She has developed such a keen sense of adventure that it's hard for me to supress my encouragement of it.

However, this was to be a working vacation and I was not prepared to juggle a job and a child at a new place.

This is how I spent most of my day...
