Salzburg is probably my most favourite place in Europe, and the highlight of my trip in 2003. Salzburg was my first trip abroad in 1993 and I could remember how beautiful it was. I decided to see if I could still remember the city as I had saw it as a child and found that it hasn't changed much. The castle still has fantastic views over the city, especially the old town.

The only difference was that this time I could explore everything that I wanted to, from Mozarts house to the surrounding hills and mountains. In all I spent around 10 days here out of 65, using the city as a travel hub to get to Salzkammergut, Zell am See, etc. I also enjoyed quite a bit of the nightlife, from quiet beer gardens to the pubs/ clubs along the old town side of the river.
