The Sri Sri Radha Rasabihari Temple (aka Hare Krishna or ISKCON Temple) is located in Juhu district. A. C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada, founder-acharya of International Society of Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON) built the temple amid the palm trees of “Hare Krishna Land,” a 4 acre-plot in Juhu Beach. The temple was opened on 14 January, 1978.
The temple houses the presiding deities Sri Sri Radha Rasabihari, Sri Sri Gaura Nitai and Sri Sri Sita Rama Laxman Hanuman.
In 2004 the temple celebrates its Silver Jubilee Year.
The temple which began as a small shack in 1975 today draws many thousands of local and international visitors every week, from state ministers to street beggars. Everyday about 25,000 pilgrims throng the temple while the number swells to approx. 40,000 on weekends.
Anyone can go to experience the tranquility of the temple and gardens.
On the site, there is also a restaurant and guesthouse.
