Kyoto Travel Guide: 1,834 reviews and 5,753 photos
Here it is. There are terabytes of generic photos of Kyoto, so I tried to only include some of the more unique photos that crept into my camera lens.
This has now rivaled my long-standing "Favorite Place on the Planet", which has been unchallenged since 1996. The day had the edge of an approaching storm, with the strong saffron sunshine and dancing dust in the air. It was a Jean Millet atmosphere moment-almost as if I had the privelege of being in one of his paintings or seeing thru his eyes.
Tired and footsore, this was one of the last places we visited before venturing back into the city's concrete canyons and leaving Kyoto. The light and mood of the day was captured in this photo.
