Taybet Zaman: Old Village Converted into 5 Star Hotel

I only stayed one night and unfortunately did not have much time to explore, but the hotel really is lovely, almost an attraction unto itself. My only gripe is that both the flusher on the toilet and one of the shower handles were broken, causing a lot of annoyance when I was trying to get ready in the morning. Also, the breakfast buffet wasn't really up to 5-star hotel standards. But my room was lovely, with an old-world feel.
Unique Qualities: Hotel Taybet Zaman was created from part an actual old village. The original homes and shops were converted into guestrooms and boutiques, but the original stone buildings and narrow lanes remain. Wandering the extensive grounds is like being being transported back in time. It also has great views of the surrounding mountains. Within an easy drive of Petra in Wadi Musa.

Jabal Rum Camp: Camping Under the Desert Sky

Jabal Rum Camp is a very clean, comfortable, and well-run campsite in Wadi Rum. I stayed one night. They serve a decent dinner buffet including many local specialities. Afterwards, they have dancing and traditional music around a large campfire. There were not many guests the night we stayed, so we got a very large large tent with a comforatable bed. The next day, they arranged camel riding and 4x4 trekking for us. It's more of a luxury desert experience rather than "roughing it", which suited my wife and I just fine.
Unique Qualities: The camp sits at the base of a small rock hill in the middle of the Wadi Rum desert. The desert views are spectacular, and the night sky is filled with stars. The staff are very helpful and go out of their way to make your stay enjoyable. They provide everything you need, so just bring along sunscreen, sunglasses, and good hiking shoes. It's a great place to start many adventurous treks through the desert and great if you want to experience camping in the desert without actually having to set up your own campsite and lug around all the necessary gear. Since it was included as part of a package tour, I don't know the exact price per night, but I assume that it's more expensive than most since it offers many amenities (such as modern toilets and showers).

Dead Sea Spa Hotel: Resort on the Dead Sea

Dead Sea Spa Hotel was the original luxury resort on the Jordanian side of the Dead Sea. Now it sits next to the newer and nicer Movenpick and Marriott resorts. My wife and I stayed one night, and I felt that the facilities were quite nice for a 4-star resort. They had several large pools, a decent breakfast buffet, comfortable rooms, and good beach access. My biggest complaint is that the sand on the beach is very coarse and rocky and hurts your bare feet. Otherwise, it was a fine place to experience the Dead Sea. We didn't use the spa facilities so I can't comment on that. Also, since we booked it as part of a package tour, I'm unsure of the exact price per night, although it's definitely cheaper than the Movenpick or Marriott.
Unique Qualities: Swimming in the Dead Sea is an amazing and peculiar experience. The salt concentration is so high that you practically float on top of the water and can't sink even if you try. Nothing lives in the Dead Sea and the bottom is covered with thick black mud, which you can cover your body in for a free and nutrient-rich mud wrap.

Amman West Hotel: Convenient & Comforatable Accomodation in Amman

4 star hotel located at 4th circle. Location is convenient for accessing Amman's old city and historical attractions by car/taxi, but nothing is within walking distance. The standard rooms are basic and comfortable. The staff is quite helpful and friendly. A good choice if you want a nice modern hotel with lots of amenities that is close to the downtown area.
Unique Qualities: The breakfast buffet is very good, with many local specialties. The pool is very nice as is the poolside bar. Good room service menu as well.
