Hey! What should I say about Mumbai, its what london is to England and New York to USA. It's the business capital of India. It has bollywood! .
I think if anyone is coming all the way to India, they should visit Mumbai, since India has many faces I think a clearer picture to that face would only come if one visits Mumbai. I have lived here all my life, its a city that never sleeps.
If at all you come here, I would advise you to stay in the city. Staying next to the Airport which is approximately 15-20km from the city would just mean a lot of unnecessary travelling to see the main sights. There is an area called Colaba, where most of the tourists reside. There are many low budget hotels and places to visit like The Gateway of India, Prince of Wales Museum etc are near by. |

Yes life is too short! I was in Mumbai a few years ago but only for one day one my way to Goa. I hung out in Colaba and of course went down to the Gateway to India and the Taj Hotel. Will get back someday soon. | Tequila Mon May 24, 2004 18:27 UTC
