The Rollett-Museum consists of several private collections of the Rollett family as well as of collections from the town archive. The main focus is the history of Baden, but you will find several other little exhibitions as well: there is an Egyptian corner with a real Egyptian mummy and some further artefacts as well as archeological items from other nations. You will find a large collection of skulls and head models that was used in brain studies and the development of the controversial (and long abandoned) theory of using head measures to find out criminal tendencies in people. Unfortunately, the skull collection is not much documented, you get no information about it in the museum and so you basically just see rows of skulls and head models. More information would have been useful. There is also a small but nice collection of old needleworks. The second floor of the building (which by the way is gorgeous, dating from the beginning of the last century) has exhibits about Baden's history, informative, but here again more information and a more continuous presentation would have been appreciated. Still the exhibits are interesting and unusual and one gets a quite good impression of certain aspects of Baden history. All in all it is a museum worth going to.
