Metropolitan Deira Hotel Metropolitan Deira Hotel Review

Metropolitan Deira Hotel is part of Metropolitan group. It is one of good hotels in Dubai. This hotel is loacted near Dubai clocktower roundabout in deira. City centre and airport are located near the hotel.

Their staff is efficient and service is great. I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel. There are 135 well furnished deluxe rooms and suites and each of them comes with color tv, satellite channels, mini bar, hair dryer, digi-safe, IDD telephone, fax machine and individual controlled AC.

Dublin Arms bar is located on mezzanine level of the hotel. It serves beverages and food from 12 noon to 4 pm and then in evenings from 7 p.m. to 2 a.m.

Al Riqa is an International cuisine coffee shop open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. It is also located at mezzanine level. It remains open from 7 a.m. till 10:30 p.m.

Royalton Lounge is at lobby level. It is an ideal place to relax and socialize. It serves variety of refreshments, beverages, tea and coffee. Its timings are from 9 a.m. till mid night.

Unique Qualities: Guests can enjoy gym, sauna, swimming and jacuzzi facilities at the hotel. Complimentary shuttle service to extensive sports facilities at The Metropolitan Resort & Beach Club is also available.

Airport Hotel Dubai: Millenium Airport Hotel ( Commercial Wing) Millennium Airport Hotel Dubai Review

Millenium Airport Hotel's Commercial Wing is a nice four star property with its own reception. Rooms are large and very well maintained. IDD telephone, 10 channel TV, digi safe, dressing table and mini bar are few of the facilities provided. Toilets are in excellent condition with many amenities like soaps, gels, conditioners, shaving outlet and dryer etc.

"Gozo Garden" restaurant serves mediterranean dishes. It is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. "Da Vinci's" serves traditional Italian flavors. It is open for lunch and dinner. "Cactus Jacks" offers cusine from all over the world with a lively menu and resident Dj. "Biggles" is English pub serving bar, snacks and other meals. It remains open from 12 noon to 1:30 in morning. Although there are food choices for dinning at the hotel but food is very expensive

The business centre has facilities like internet, fax and currency exchange. Internet is very expensive as they charge AED 30 instead of standard rate of AED5.

Unique Qualities: Dubai airport is very close and you can view the activities going-on at airport from lobby at your floor. One also can see many aircrafts parked and getting ready for flight.

A well maintained outdoor swimming pool is there to kill the summer heat. Snacks and drinks are served available. Laundry and baby sitting services are also available. There is a travel desk, gift shops and ladies beauty saloon in the Emirates wing.

Attractive room rates are offered if you book through Emirates Holidays. I was charged US $ 72 per night on room only basis.

Airport Hotel Dubai: Millenium Airport Hotel ( Emirates Wing) Millennium Airport Hotel Dubai Review

I have some really great experience at this hotel. I was flying from Zurich to Lahore in October 2003. I was traveling with Emirates and my flight from Dubai to Lahore was after 22 hours. So I was Emirates airline's guest. All meals were also complimentary and I was given coupans for meals. All meals are served at their restaurant on ground floor.

I was given pick and drop on hotel's bus. Two hours before flight i was given drop to airport . The rooms are very comfortable and really big in size with facilities like IDD telephone, AC, satellite channels, voice mail, mini bar and really nice and big bathrooms. There are many gift shops at ground floor and prices over there are very reasonable. Even gold was available at very reasonable prices over there.

The best thing is that room remained with me till the time i was in hotel. If you are airline's guest then they do not ask you to check out in morning as per standard policy of hotels. You would just checkout two hours before your flight.

Millenium airport hotel has two wings. The Emirates wings is three star and usually Economy class passengers are given rooms here. The other is four star commercial wing. Hotel is located on Al Garhoud Road just two minutes drive from airport. Deira city centre is just 1.5 Km far .

Pearl Residence Pearl Residence Hotel Review

Pearl Residence deluxe hotel appartments are best choice to stay in Dubai with family. Located in Bur Duba, these appartments arei just 15 minutes drive from airport. All appartments are well furnished and very nicely decorated. There are 28 Studio and 56 One-bedroom Apartments.

I along with my parents spent one week there and we did not had even a single complaint. We were charged US $ 72 per night.

We opted for one bed room apartment. It was big appartment which gave us feeling of living at home. The master bedroom had digi safe, individual control AC, master toilet, IDD telephone and dressing table.

The common room is really huge. It has a decent guest sitting area with sofas and carpets. Sides are decorated with beautiful table lamps. Iron table and iron is provided in the same room.

Dinning area is also in the same room and a family can easily use it. Room service is provided 24 hours. Room service menu has some good choices for meals at reasonable prices. Spinney's supermarket is just five minutes walk.

Television with cabnet is also well placed. You can enjoy more then 30 satellite channels around the clock. A beautiful guest toilet is also attached with the common room.

Next is the kitchen with all the facilities you can think of. A full size refrigerator, microwave oven, electric oven, electric kettle, toaster, pots, pans and other related items are provided. Well stocked mini-bar also comes along refrigerator.

In the same kitchen, there is dish washing facility as well as washing machine to wash your clothes.

Unique Qualities: In basement they have laundry where you can free of cost wash and dry your clothes. Housekeeping is excellent and they clean your appartment on daily basis.

For food they have 24-hour coffee shop on ground floor serving international cuisine. Food is good and prices are reasonable. Currency exchange, fax and photocopying facilities are available on request.

There is a trendy indoor club named "Blue Moon" where you can play snooker and other indoor games with some good music in the background.

Health club with sauna, steam and swimming facility on roof top is also available for guest use. The reception staff is very helpful and cooperative.

Seashell Inn Hotel Seashell Inn Review

Seashell Inn is an average three star hotel in Bur Dubai area where I stayed for ten days in Ramadan. The hotel has 85 standard and 15 executive rooms. There are also 5 executive suites. Executive floor has its own reception and business center.

I was on Emirates package so just had to pay $40 per night for standard room otherwise their rack rates were $150 for single room at that time.

Their service & food standard as well quality is really bad. Reception staff is not so efficient and some times rude too. I was victim of racism too which I do not really appreciate.

They have Indian speciality restaurant "Daawat" which has a bit better food but with very high prices. The sports pub "Winners" has unpleasant and confusing interior. Here you can play indorr games, watch TV or drink whatever you want. There is an age limit for entry to pub.

There is a night club cum grill room named "American Dream" . Food in all of their restaurants is extremely expensive.

Unique Qualities: Their rooms are comfortable and of good size. All latest facilities are provided like individual control AC, digi safe, IDD telephone, mini bar, dressing table and TV with ten satellite channels. Bathrooms are clean and well maintained with decent amenities.

Complimentary services of gym, sauna, steam bath and swimming are provided at hotel's luxury "Pearl Residence" apartments. There is shuttle service after every 30 minutes for these fitness facilities. Hotel guests are also provided complimentary pick n drop at Jumairah Beach Park.

Hotel is 15 minute drive from airport. Complimentary pick and drop is provided if requested.

Burj Al Arab hotel Burj Al Arab (Jumeirah Beach Road.) Review

Burj Al Arab in Arabic means "Tower of Arabs". Its Dubai's most expensive and luxurious hotel where minimum per night rates start from $1000. Obviously not every one can afford to stay here.

The hotel also welcomes it guests for short time who can deposite entry fee and spend some time inside hotel. Cameras are supposed to be deposited at reception as no photography is allowed inside hotel.

I also spend some time inside Bur Al Arab in November 2003. At that time they were charging AED 120 ( $35 appox) per person as entry fee. This fee is refundable at any of their restaurants.

The hotel has sail shaped structure which is 321 meters above Arabian gulf. It has been built on man made island 280 meters off shore. There are 202 suites in the hotel. Jumeirah beach hotel and Wild Wadi water park are located just next to it.

Each suite has its own reception, living area , dinning area and office desk. with laptop, scanners, printers, multimedia systems, fax and copier. Guests have their own dedicated butlers available 24 hours. Each suite has 14 telephones for use of guests. Bath rooms are on ground floor of each suite. They are not less then a wonderland.

Sail structure outside gives rainbow colors at night. 22K Gold is used alot in walls, pillars and domes throughout. Guests are welcomed at airport and transfers are by chauffeur-driven Rolls Royce. Guests have also option to use helicopter for arrival at airport while enjoying 15-minute bird's-eye of Dubai.

A central fountain, called The Volcano, is centre stage for stunning displays. You can enjoy dancing water works there. Guests are met in the world's largest Atrium Lobby.

Unique Qualities: Al Mahara restaurant serves seafood but for that first you have to take 3 minute submarine' voyage from the hotel's lobby to this wonderland. Al lwan restaurant at mezzanine level offers guests a taste of the finest Arabian hospitality throughout the day.

Assawan Spa and Health Club is located on the 18th level of hotel. It is open 24 hours a day. Squash courts, changing rooms, sauna, steam room, plunge pool, indoor swimming pool and jacuzzi are few of available facilities. Also hydrotherapy treatments and lates gym facilities are available.

Diwania serves snacks and drinks. Bab Al Yam caf? and outdoor pool bar is the perfect place to enjoy sundowners and an early supper. Al wan Restaurant and the Sahn Eddar Atrium Lounge are the perfect place to meet friends and relax over morning coffee or afternoon tea.

Bab Al Yam cafe serves healthy foods and snacks throughout the day and diners have a choice of eating indoors or relaxing outside by the pool bar. On the 27th level is the magnificent Al Falak Ballroom.

Due to its unique identity all new car number plates have logo and image of Burj Al Arab. Let me tell you that money you pay at Burj Al Arab is worth what you see and experience. It is said to be world's only seven star hotel. So visit Burj Al Arab when you are in Dubai next time!

Hyatt Regency is one of oldest five star hotels in Dubai. It is still very famous and very well maintained. Located in Deira just across Gold Souk , it is just 7 km from airport. Hotel offers 400 elegant rooms and suites with view of Arabian gulf. There are also 333 furnished appartments. All rooms come with IDD telephone, mini bar, hair dryer, TV with satellite channels and individually controlled AC.

Five floors of the hotel are dedicated to the luxurious Regency Club where guests may take advantage of an exclusive private lounge offering complimentary breakfast, afternoon tea, cocktail, a private boardroom and extensive business facilities.

York International is a 3 star hotel located on main Khalid Bin Al Waleed road. It has been designed and furnished by Italian decorators. Its blue glass building is impressive with flags of many countries on display. All rooms have digi safe, mini bar, IDD telephone, complimentary tea and coffee facilities, TV and attached bathroom.

Unique Qualities: You can use Internet at E-pub while having drinks and listening to your favorite music. Bank Street Cafe is open 24 hours serving oriental and continental dishes. The York Club is one of disco with 66 feet long bar. Enjoy with resident Dj and "Age of Reason" rock band.

It is a nice hotel if you are a budget traveler and looking for reasonable accomodation.
