  • Just off the Main Square (Jelaèiæ square) and near the Dolac market is the beginning of one of the favorite "meat market" and coffee/walking street, Tkalciceva street. It is a very popular destination for sitting on the terraces, sipping coffee fir hours, just parading in pretty clothes or shopping.... There are 3 main sections of the street: the beginning with cafe Argentina (very nice coffee), Diesel Shop, music store and other nice cafes. Second section starts with the Bloody Bridge street. It features Marija Juric Zagorka statue (Croatian Writer) and a very old sun watch. It is very rich with nice little jewlery shops as well as gemstone and alternative store (Nova Arka). Third section starts near cafe Oliver Twist and features a number of sweet little restaurants.

  • Did you know that in the very heart of Zagreb, a mere 100m from Jela?i? square there used to stand a bridge. This was a bridge that as a result of the numerous conflicts that took place on its wooden beams, was given the horrific name ?Krvavi most? or, the Bloody bridge. Below is the whole story of the bridge that also presents a short history of Zagreb city....

  • This is Lady of the door. She is on the wall right at Kamenita vrata, the sight where Holy Mary suppostedly appeared. I thought the statue is probably not very noticeable and that she deserves a tip.
