Suria KLCC: Shop till the sun goes down iin Suria
  • Tip Rating:
  • Name of Shop: Suria KLCC

Voted the best Shopping complex in KL. There is about 6 floors worth of shopping in this complex.
KLCC is a little up market and is the place if you want branded goods such as Ferragamo, Cartier, Mikimoto, etc. (Surely not for everyday use for most of us, huh) The so called up market ambiance also prevalent in its background music - mostly classical music.

The anchor tenants in this complex are Isetan and Parkson- departmental stores that caters to all your needs.

Aside from these 2 dept. stores, theres a couple of food court such as Scotts picnic on the 3rd floor (just below Tanjung Golden Village - a cinema) and Asian Flavour on the 6th floor, a big book store, sports retail, etc.

Restaurants are also available on the lower ground floor where you can get fast food outlets such as A&W, Strudel, Cinnabon, KFC, Burger Kings, etc. while the 6th floor also houses posh restaurants such as Madam Kwan, Chakri White House, Kelantan Delights .

There is no shortage of food at KLCC thats for sure.

Aside from the cinema, there is also the Petronas Museum - which is fun and theres a concert hall on the ground floor and Cafes that overlook a fountain and the park.

In between you have banks, money changer, art gallery, more posh shopping outlets Clarins Beauty Institute more food and little stalls selling from nuts to Cashmere shawl.

What To Buy: What ever your heart desires and you pocket can afford.

A great place to hang out and lose yourself in people watching activity.

What To Pay: If you can help it, abstain from buying expensive art product at ASEANA because you can get it cheaper elsewhere.

Mid Valley Megamall: More Shopping in Mid Valley
  • Tip Rating:
  • Name of Shop: Mid Valley Megamall

MVM is located in between the Federal Highway and Jalan Bangsar. Way back when it was constructed, everybody dismissed it as a failure because of its proximity to Federal Highway - the place where they breed traffic congestions.
But NOW, the congestion to get into MVM is even worst that the federal highway itself , and thats a show of popularity for MVM.
What can you get here that you cant get elsewhere? Nothing - they have everything that you can get elsewhere, but..its all concertrated under one roof.
Anchor tenants here are Carrefour, Jusco and Metro jaya. Between these 3 - you have all that you could want.
Other attractions are, a big Cinema, a one stop IT center, a gym and a bowling alley and the place would not be complete without a giant book store.
And in between you have small retails selling fashion clothing and accesories, food court and restaurants, pharmacies, electrical shops, banks, hardware store and many many stores, too numerous to mention here.

What To Buy: Anything and everything

What To Pay: Depends on what you're getting

Directions: The traffic is horrendous on weekend especially. So, take a cab or a feeder bus from the Bangsar LRT station but please mark the time. Feeder buses services are not 24/7.
