"Kuala Kubu Baharu" Kuala Kubu Baharu by ishi01

This is the chiling water falls, about an hour hike up from the Pertak picnic area in Kuala Kubu Bahru.

The hike could be quite a challenge for the uninitiated but the reward is well worth it.

The water is cccccoldd.... fresh, clear and simply refreshing. If, like me, you have a neck for climbing, then try to get up that plateau just beneath the waterfalls. But beware it could be quite slippery and there has been death related to falling at the water falls.

If you could stand the cold and is a dive enthusiast, you could dive into the water which is fantastically clear.

Its also nice to picnic by the water falls but if you intend to have a lil bbq, you might find trying to put together a decent mount of twigs sheer frustrating. I couldnt find dry twigs there if my life depended on it.

Some friends hiked further up stream to be on top of the waterfalls, which is some additional twenty minutes of walk.

To those who prefer the 'gentle' flow of the river with the occasional rapids, just stay back at the Pertak Picnic Area. You can also have a bbq at the picnic area.
