Prior to the discovery of oil in 1958, the emirate of Abu Dhabi was basically a poor, rural wasteland. Today, it has one of the highest per-capita incomes in the world. The emirate is characterized by three political or geographic divisions: the city of Abu Dhabi, Al-Ain and the offshore islands
This a view of Abu Dhabi , the Capital of my county UAE. It is around 2 hours away from Dubai.
Abu Dhabi?s commercial and tourist infrastructure is among the best in the Middle East. More than 46 airlines from all quarters of the globe land here en route between Europe and the Far East. Abu Dhabi has become as much a sunny playground for holidaymakers as a centre for business and investment. Luxury hotels vie with one another to provide the most lavish facilities and absorbing entertainment.

A graceful sweep of park-lined coastal boulevard skirts the city. This is Abu Dhabi Corniche, an impressive address which has attracted a backdrop of architecturally modern and beautiful commercial buildings which face the sparkling aquamarine sea.
A promenade along the Corniche through its attractive gardens, fountains and waterfalls, is a favourite activity for residents and tourists alike. Superior standards of security and cleanliness offer relaxing surrounds in which to absorb the exotic Arabic lifestyle, and visitors will enjoy a uniquely romantic culture.
