    • Along one of the oldest & longest man-made canals ever constructed, is one of Nanjing's most busy marketplaces. From hawkers, stores to street performances, it is a good place to shop & buy souvenirs.
    This area is named after the nearby Fuzi Temple.

    • This confusian temple was built in the Song dynasty around the 10th century. The temple consists of a Confucius temple, the Imperial Temple & Gongyuan where provincial and imperial exams were held.

    • Perched on top of a mountain, this mausoleum has spectacular views of the area! There is a total of 392 stairs to climb in order to reach the top. The building at the top is called the Sacifricial Hall, & inside is a marble statue of Dr. Sun-Yat Sen. North of the hall lies the vault, where a statue of him rests on a white marble coffin, under which the great man lies.

    • Here is a view of the Sacrifical Hall from afar.

    Caution: As Nanjing is known as one of China's four furnaces, it gets really hot there, especially when there is high humidity. It is best advised that you visit there in the late spring or early fall. Otherwise, make sure to bring lots of sunscreen & water, for the sun leaves no mercy here.
